Eric Stephen Susch

Producer - Director

Eric began his career in 1982 working for an ABC-TV affiliate in upstate New York. Starting out as a studio camera operator for the local live newscast, he eventually mastered field videography, editing, Chyron graphics, stage management, and live directing.

After completing a BFA in Motion Picture Production in the late eighties at Purchase Collage in NY, he spent the next few years as a freelance editor cutting both film and video. Corporate video clients included Ford, Sony, Chrysler, Ingersol Rand, and ESPN. Of particular note were the point-of-purchase interactive touch screen videos that Eric co-produced and edited for Meyer Cookware. Other documentary work included subjects as varied as road rallies, nature sanctuaries, Great Lakes shipping, and antique steam engines.

In the mid-nineties Eric decided to build his own digital post-production studio to have more control over the creative process. Initially concentrating on audio sound design, foley/ADR, and mixing he completed audio-post on several independent films and broadcast projects. Expanding his facility to include picture offline/online, he went on to edit and eventually co-produce shows for the Discovery Channel including Destroyer: Forged in Steel in High Definition.

Most recently Eric has decided to tackle the new media world of video podcasting which he believes is the future of the industry. With his wife CAT they produce Let’s Knit2gether - the first video podcast about knitting. Shot entirely in high-definition with broadcast TV production values, Let’s Knit2gether is frequently featured in the iTunes store top 10 podcasts in the “hobbies” category. Eric enjoys shaking up the traditional main-stream broadcast industry and looks forward to taking video podcasting to the next level, wherever that might be.
